One of the perks of being a celebrity is getting a Star awarded to you on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. It's expensive and it's a long process. Some of Suzanne Pleshette's friends began the process in 2007, and the ceremony was scheduled for January 31, 2008 ... Suzanne's 71st birthday. Unfortunately, she passed away on January 19th. Her friends accepted the star in her honor, and one of the Jeannie Sisters attended the ceremony. Here are some photos.

Arte came up and spoke of knowing Suzanne before either of them were known. He went to hers and Troy Donahue's wedding. He told of a time, a week later, when Suzanne arrived at his apartment with a pillow under one arm and a dog under the other, wanting to know if she could sleep on his couch. It was the start of many nights of that, so Arte said, "I just had a key made for her. I was working with one airline or another anyway and wasn't always home." He said he'd come home and there would be Suzanne asleep on his couch. He skipped ahead to her marriage with Tom Poston and how wonderful that was.
